Dr. Dimitrios Moraitis is a highly-trained head and neck surgeon, double board-certified by the American and the Greek Board of Surgery as well as a fellow in Otolaryncology of the Royal College of Surgeons. A University of Athens School of Medicine alumnus, Dr. Moraitis completed a residency in general surgery at New York Medical College, followed by a clinical fellowship in the Head and Neck Oncology at the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, New York.
Using his specialized microsurgical and oncological training, Dr. Moraitis provides his patients exceptional technical skill in endocrinology and oncology surgery of the head and neck.
Applying innovative minimally invasive techniques he operates thyroid and parathyroid glands, salivary glands, oral cavity, larynx and hypopharynx in proven safety and efficacy. He is the mind behind a recently developed technique of robotic surgery of neoplasms in oral cavity and oropharynx.
